Mountainside Middle School: DMHS cheer camp

The DMHS 2010 and 2011 back- to- back State Champion Varsity Cheerleaders are having their annual Summer Cheer Camp on May 30th, 31st and June 1st from 9:00 to noon at Desert Storm Elite Cheer Gym. There will be arts, crafts, sancks and the DMHS Varsity Cheerleaders will be teaching cheers, chants and jumps. Each camper will receive a DMHS Varsity Cheer Camp T-shirt. Mountainside Middle School: Mountainside Science Teachers to Display Work at Power of Perspective Exhibit

Charlynne Herman and Tracey Lou Dodrill, 8th grade science teachers at Mountainside Middle School, will showcase their work at the Power of Perspective Exhibit, opening May 5, 2012, at the Desert Sonoran Museum in Tucson. Dodrill and Herman were among the first graduates of the Earth Camp for Educators yearlong cohort sponsored by NASA.

Information About The Possible SUSD November 6th 15% Maintenance And Operations (M&O) Override Ballot Initiative

At its June 2012 meeting, the Governing Board will decide if it will call for this initiative to be placed on the November 6th ballot.

· The proposed override will replace the District’s current K-3 Override re-authorized in November 2009 and the 10% Maintenance and Operations Override re-authorized in November 2007.
